Juvenile & Criminal Justice

Adolescent Mentoring Program Families Rising Kids Experiencing Young Successes Recognizing Emerging Adults & Creating Hope

Our juvenile justice system works like a maze with too many entrances in, but far too few exits out. Diversion programs for young people caught in the system use therapy and counseling to address and resolve the behavior that led the individual into the maze, offering a viable alternative to conviction, jail time, and a criminal record.

Our intervention and diversion services address challenges–such as education, racial disparities, and mental health needs–that help keep children and youth out of the criminal justice system, and help those already in the system to exit the maze permanently.

Juvenile & Criminal Justice

Alternatives to Incarceration

Research shows that young people who are incarcerated or placed in detention centers are at heightened risk of trauma, depression, suicide, and recidivism. Our ATI programs offer therapy and evidence-based approaches that address the underlying causes of young people’s involvement with the justice system and help them avoid incarceration.
