The New York Foundling launched Camp Felix in order to provide the young people we serve with an uplifting summer experience that enables them to bond with their peers, learn new skills, stay active, nurture their creativity and connect with nature.
Camp Felix is an unforgettable experience for its campers and counselors, all of whom are current or former participants in The Foundling’s programs. This adventure changes many of our campers’ outlook on life, their futures, and their sense of pride. Camp Felix campers immerse themselves in activities that instill feelings of self-confidence, resilience, respect, and community. Many campers leave carrying a new sense of hope, and the belief that despite their difficult circumstances at home or with their families, they can “do anything.”
This year, Camp Felix is thrilled to offer campers an unforgettable experience at beautiful Club Getaway in Kent, CT, offering activities such as swimming, boating, fishing, zipline, climbing, sports, and more!
The 2025 camp sessions are listed below:
(Campers can select 1 session and enrollment will be based on availability/capacity)
- Session 1: July 28 – August 1
- Session 2: August 4 – 8
As in previous summers, we are also offering an additional program for LGBTQIA+ youth and their allies (ages 10-16.) Camp Felix Pride is a 5-day sleepaway camp taking place August 4-8 at the same campsite in Club Getaway in Kent, CT. The registration process for this camp is the same as traditional Camp Felix: you will have an option to select Camp Felix Pride when selecting your camp sessions.
To be eligible for Camp Felix, children must be between the ages of 9 and 15 and either currently or previously involved in Foundling programs, or are students at Haven Academy. Children whose cases have been closed within The Foundling are still eligible to register up to one (1) year after case closure.
Applications are open for the 2025 season. The deadline is Friday, June 13.
