USDA Program Will Ensure Youth at The New York Foundling’s Camp for Children in Foster Care Will Eat Healthily This Summer 

New York, NY (June 11, 2013) – Nearly 200 youth from several New York Foundling programs will have the nutritious meals they need to fully enjoy all the activities at Camp Felix, thanks to the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program.

TD Bank, one of our generous supporters, conducted a financial literacy workshop with our students at Haven Academy, teaching them valuable lessons on saving and opening young saver accounts for each student!

Popquiz.com named our Bronx Charter School for children in the child welfare system one of the greenest schools in America, a major achievement considering its location in the poorest Congressional District in the nation.

 

In partnership with the Broadway show “Annie,” a number of our children and families were able to attend their first Broadway performance in December. The partnership helped raise over $1 million for The Foundling.

 

Our support program for young teen moms celebrated its 40th anniversary back in September. The NY Daily News discusses a few of the many inspiring success stories from the program.
