Supervisor – Partners for Change (FFT-TCM) – Responsibilities and Requirements

The Supervisor manages a team of clinicians working in our Partners for Change program, which serves parents and children at risk of involvement in the child welfare system. Using the FFT-TCM model, this role ensures that staff are providing effective therapeutic services to the families we serve.

Duties Include:

  • Providing home-based clinical treatment utilizing the Functional Family Therapy-Therapeutic Case Model (FFT-TCM) model to assigned caseload of up to 4 cases and provides coverage for staff’s caseload as needed.
  • Supervising 4 therapists and 1 care navigator. Applies and is adherent to NYF Coaching and Mentoring Model to support staff development and completes the performance evaluation process. Leads weekly group supervision.
  • Conducting assessments including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying relational patterns, and individualized treatment planning.
  • Providing guidance and direct supervision of staff’s implementation of the FFT-TCM model. Ensures that team adheres to model expectations and implement with fidelity including the timely completion of progress notes, session planning guides, session impact scales, appointment notes, intake and discharge assessments in the Care4 documentation system.

Requirements Include:

  • Master’s Level Degree or better in Marriage & Family Therapy,  Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
  • Limited Permit and Licensed MSW required
  • LMFT, LMHC, LCSW preferred

Join Our Team

Supervisor – Families Rising – Responsibilities and Requirements

The Supervisor works within Families Rising, our Alternative to Incarceration Program, to manage and oversee a team of clinicians as they provide therapeutic care to young people (ages 13-27) involved in the juvenile/criminal justice system.

Duties Include:

  • Attending all court appearances with clients and provide an update on treatment to the court.
  • Supervising the team’s communication with court, including editing and approving court reports and court notifications.
  • Managing and overseeing the assigned model/program by providing guidance and direct supervision for the implementation of clinical services related to the model and ensuring treatment fidelity. Oversees model adequate standard of care for fellow clinicians by conducting best practice with clients through model adherence and regulatory standards from stakeholders.
  • Conducting weekly group supervision for assigned team to assure adherence to model/program principles and associated analytic process. Assure that clinicians achieve engagement with all key participants.

Requirements Include:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental health Counseling or related subject area.
  • At minimum must be provisionally licensed (such as LPMHC, LPMFT, LPLCAT, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCAT or LCSW).
  • Be familiar with the organizational and procedural guidelines (i.e., agency mission, culture, administrative structure) of relevant collateral agencies (i.e., juvenile or supreme court, probate court, social services agencies).
  • Experience with clinical management / supervision of staff
  • Experience working with clients utilizing trauma informed and evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral techniques.
