Ellen Eng

Chief of Staff
Senior Staff

As Chief of Staff, Ellen Eng plans and directs administrative, financial, and operational activities for The Foundling’s President & CEO. Ellen brings over 14 years of experience to this role, primarily in the government sector. Before joining The Foundling in 2022, she served as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services and the Office of Management and Budget in the office of New York City’s Mayor. Prior to this, she held analyst positions within the New York City Police Department and the Finance Division of the New York City Council. Additionally, she has experience in the non-profit sphere, having worked as a Program Officer with The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans.

Ellen holds a Masters degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University, both in International Affairs.
