The New York Foundling’s internal Deconstructing Racism and Pride Committee affinity groups have planned an online event featuring author and activist George M. Johnson.
George is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir All Boys Aren’t Blue, which discusses their adolescence growing up as a young Black Queer person in New Jersey through a series of powerful essays. Their second memoir, We Are Not Broken, was released last September. They have also been awarded the Salute to Excellence Award by the National Association of Black Journalists, named one of The Root’s 100 Most Influential African Americans in 2020, and were listed in The Out 100 Most Influential LGBTQ People in 2021.
Join us for this virtual discussion and Q&A on Wednesday, June 22 from 12:00-1:00PM!
