Families Aligned to Stay Together (FAST)
Families with indicated cases of child abuse and neglect where placement in foster care is imminent require specific supports in order for children to remain safely in the home. The Foundling’s Families Aligned to Stay Together (FAST) program uses the evidence-based model, Multisystemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect (MST-CAN), to provide intensive therapy to the entire family.
The Foundling’s Families Aligned to Stay Together program aims to keep families together, assure that children are safe, prevent abuse and neglect, reduce mental health difficulties experienced by adults and children, and increase natural social supports. By providing treatment to the whole family, FAST engages and motivates youth and their families, resulting in sustainable change that keeps families together. The program operates in Brooklyn and Queens.
