Melendez at 212-660-1315 or email at william.melendez@nyfoundling.org Speakers Lisa Sjostrom, Ed.M., Director of Helping Kids Thrive is a celebrated author, teacher, trainer, and program designer whose nationally-acclaimed curricula include Bullyproof: A Teacher’s Guide on Teasing and Bullying (Wellesley Centers for Women). Stan Davis is a school guidance counselor who has specialized in bullying prevention since 1996. He has trained and consulted with school systems nationwide, and is the author of Schools Where Everyone Belongs (Research Press, 2005) and the creator of the (www.stopbullyingnow.com). William Porter, Ph.D. has devoted his professional career to developing mental health programming for children and families using “opportunities.” Dr. Porter was a founding member of Creating Caring Communities, a non-profit organization developed to promote the programming efforts of Bully-Proofing Your School. Bob Caputo For 22 years, Bob has served as a school counselor with the New York City Department of Education and has been a strong advocate of legislation prohibiting bullying and teasing within the public school system. |
