April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month...
but we recognize the importance of
protecting children 12 months a year
In conjunction with our year-round efforts, The New York Foundling, through the work of the
Vincent J. Fontana Center for Child Protection, initiates a month of targeted outreach each April to enlist the public’s help in protecting our children.
The statistics are staggering -- in the U.S., four children die from abuse every day. With the prolonged economic downturn increasing tensions at home, the risk of abuse and neglect escalates as well.
